Harvest Pumpkin Pie Recipe
- 1 c. apple butter
- 1 c. pumpkin, fresh, canned or possibly frzn
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon ginger
- 3 Large eggs, unbeaten
- 1 c. light cream, scalded and still warm
- 1 (9 inch) pie shell, unbaked
- Combine apple butter, pumpkin, salt and spices.
- Add in Large eggs and beat well.
- Add in cream and mix thoroughly.
- Pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 15 min, then reduce oven to 375 degrees and bake 20 to 25 min longer.
