Sierras South Plains Pulled Pork

  1. In 6.5-7 quart slow cooker, line bottom with onion rings.
  2. Place pork shoulder on top.
  3. Add water.
  4. Cook on high for 8-10 hours or until the shoulder pulls out clean and pork just falls apart.
  5. Remove pork to shred.
  6. Strain out half the liquid from cooker leaving the onions and about a cup of pork liquid.
  7. Into the cooker, mix in sauce and then add shredded pork.
  8. Cook for another 25-30 minutes and serve on buns.
  9. Also makes great nachos!
