Sierras South Plains Pulled Pork
- 1 whole Large Yellow Or White Onion, Sliced Into Rings
- 7 pounds Boston Picnic Pork Shoulder
- 1- 1/4 cup Water
- 2 cups BBQ Sauce, Homemade Or Store Bought
- In 6.5-7 quart slow cooker, line bottom with onion rings.
- Place pork shoulder on top.
- Add water.
- Cook on high for 8-10 hours or until the shoulder pulls out clean and pork just falls apart.
- Remove pork to shred.
- Strain out half the liquid from cooker leaving the onions and about a cup of pork liquid.
- Into the cooker, mix in sauce and then add shredded pork.
- Cook for another 25-30 minutes and serve on buns.
- Also makes great nachos!
