Chocolate Amaretto Tarts Recipe

  1. Heat chocolate in a heavy saucepan over low heat, set aside.
  2. Cream butter gradually.
  3. Add in powdered sugar; beating at medium speed in an electric mixer till smooth.
  4. Add in chocolate, mixing till blended.
  5. Add in vanilla and salt; mix till blended.
  6. Add in egg yolks one at a time, beating after each addition.
  7. Add in 3 Tbsp.
  8. amaretto, one tsp.
  9. at a time, beating well after each addition.
  10. Beat whipping cream till soft peaks form.
  11. Gradually add in 1 1/2 Tbsp.
  12. of amaretto, mix till blended.
  13. Fold 1 c. whipped cream mix into chocolate mix.
  14. Fill cooled tart shells with chocolate filling.
  15. Refrigerate3 to 4 hrs or possibly till hard.
  16. Pipe or possibly dollop reserved whipped cream.
  17. Garnish with sliced almonds if you like.
  18. Yield 5 dozen tarts.
