Flank Steaks With Mushrooms
- 14 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 14 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 (1 lb) flank steaks, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1.
- Combine light brown sugar, fresh ground black pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh ginger, and garlic cloves in a shallow baking dish.

- Add flank steaks to dish, toss to coat.

- Cover baking dish with plastic wrap.
- 4.
- Chill 3-6 hours, turning flank steaks occasionally.

- Remove steaks from marinade, discarding marinade.

- Preheat grill to medium heat.

- Grill flank steaks 10 minutes with grill lid closed.
- Turn, grill 10 additional minutes.

- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

- Add mushrooms and saute until mushrooms are tender and liquid has evaporated.

- Allow steaks to rest.
- Cut steaks diagonally across the grain into thin strips.

- Serve with sauteed mushrooms.
