Chinese Pork And Turnips Recipe
- 1/2 pound lean pork
- 3 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon fried red onion
- Dash of MSG
- Dash of pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 c. sweet potato starch
- 2 c. white turnip (Paiken Reddish)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp. diced green onion
- 4-6 c. vegetable oil
- Dice pork in pcs the size of your finger.
- Add in soy sauce, fried red onion, MSG and pepper.
- Dredge in sweet potato starch.
- Fry pork in vegetable oil till golden brown and crispy.
- Remove to a bowl.
- Cut turnip into strips.
- Blend with salt and minced green pepper.
- Put in a bowl on top of pork.
- Add in 1/2 c. water.
- Cover and steam 40 min.
- Drain juices out.
- Quickly invert bowl onto small serving platter and pour juice over.
- Serve with rice.
