Spiced Apple Cider
- 2 quarts Apple Cider
- 1/4 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 18 teaspoons Ground Ginger
- 1 whole Orange ~ Unpeeled, And Cut Into Wedges
- 2 whole Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 teaspoon Whole Cloves
- 1 piece Cheesecloth (Small Square)
- Tie up cinnamon sticks and whole cloves into cheesecloth.
- Add apple cider and all other ingredients into crock pot.
- Cover and simmer on low.
- Cider will be ready in about 3 hours, but can continue simmering on low.
- Remove cheescloth bag and orange wedges, and serve!
- (This recipe yields approximately 10 12 servings.)
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge and reheated the next day.
- This is a must-have every Thanksgiving and Christmas in our home, but makes a perfect hot drink any time in the fall and winter!
