Chai Masala
- 1 12 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 5 -7 cardamom pods
- 5 black peppercorns
- 1 small shard cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, roughly chopped
- 10 fennel seeds
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 black tea bag
- sugar or honey
- Mix all ingredients except sugar and tea.
- Bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer.
- Simmer mixture for 12 minutes.
- Add tea bag.
- Simmer 3 more minutes.
- Strain into a large mug.
- Add sugar or honey to taste.
- Enjoy!
