Sea Food Chowder Recipe

  1. Saute/fry salt pork in large kettle (about 5 min).
  2. Add in onions and saute/fry till onions are tender, but NOT brown.
  3. Add in water, potatoes, bay leaf, pepper and thyme.
  4. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, partially covered, about 10 min.
  5. Don't overcook potatoes.
  6. Add in fish, shrimp and cook till fish flakes easily and shrimp is opaque.
  7. Remove bay leaf, add in lowfat milk and salt.
  8. Heat to boiling, stirring as needed and serve.
  9. Serves 8 to 10.
