5 Flavor Pound Cake
- 2 sticks butter (unsalted)
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs, beaten well
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. coconut extract
- 1 tsp. rum extract
- 1 tsp. butter extract
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- Beat
- eggs
- very
- well and set aside. Cream the butter, shorteningtnd sugar until light and fluffy. Add beaten eggs. Sift together flour, baking
- powder
- and
- salt. Add to creamed mixture and alternate withtilk. Stir in flavorings. Spoon in floured and greased tube pan.
- Bake
- for
- 1 1/2 hours at 325u0b0. Cool in pan for 8 minutes before turning out.
