Norwegian Molasses Cookies

  1. Mix flour and baking soda; set aside.
  2. Shape dough into 48 (1 1/4-inch) balls; roll in sugar.
  3. Place on greased and floured baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
  4. Lightly sprinkle dough with water.
  5. Bake at 350F for 15 to 18 minutes or until done.
  6. Remove from sheets; cool on wire racks.
  7. Decorate with Powdered Sugar Glaze and colored sprinkles if desired.
  8. Powdered Sugar Glaze: Combine 1 cup powdered sugar and 5 to 6 teaspoons skim milk.
