Strawberries Romanoff

• 1 quart fresh strawberries
• 12 cup sifted powdered sugar
• 14 cup Cointreau liqueur
• 1 cup whipping cream, whipped
• 13 cup Cointreau liqueur
• 1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened

1. Wash and hull strawberries; cut into halves.
2. Add sugar and 1/4 cup Cointreau; toss gently, and set aside.
3. Fold in whipped cream and 1/3 cup Cointreau into softened ice cream.
4. Place strawberry mixture in chilled stemmed glasses.
5. Top with ice cream mixture.
