Black Walnut Cookies Recipe

  1. Sift together flour, baking pwdr and salt.
  2. Cream shortening.
  3. Add in sugar gradually and cream till light and fluffly.
  4. Add in corn syrup; blend thoroughly.
  5. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
  7. Add in sifted dry ingredients, alternately with lowfat milk.
  8. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet.
  9. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees) for 12-15 min.
  10. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
  11. **Pecans can besubstituted for walnuts.
