How To Peel The Outer Shell and Inner Skin of Chestnuts
- 300 grams Fresh chestnuts
- 1 enough to cover the chestnuts Water
- Wash the chestnuts quickly and put in a pan.
- Add enough water to cover, and heat until the water comes to a boil.
- Turn off the heat and let it cool down.
- When the water has cooled enough to put your hands in, take out a chestnut.
- Cut a small slice off the rough bottom.
- Leave the other chestnuts in the water.
- Insert the blade of your knife in the cut, and peel the outer shell from the bottom to the top.
- Peel off the side of the inner skin with the knife, either from the top or the bottom.
- Peel the two remaining sides, whichever direction works best.
- If some bits of skin are left on, remove them neatly.
