Swedish Coconut Balls

  1. Cream butter, shortening, sugar, vanilla.
  2. Sift flour with baker's ammonia and salt.
  3. Stir in flour mixture and coconut.
  4. Preheat oven to 325F (160C).
  5. Shape dough into balls the size of a walnut.
  6. Place 2 1/ 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake in 325F (160C) oven for 15 minutes.
  8. Don't open the oven door while cookies are baking.
