Curry Up
- Ice
- 1 1/2 ounces gin
- 1 -ounce saffron simple syrup, recipe follows
- 1 -ounce fresh lemon juice
- Splash club soda
- Lemon peel, for garnish
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon saffron
- Fill a cocktail shaker with some ice.
- Add gin, simple syrup and fresh lemon juice.
- Shake.
- Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass and top with a splash of club soda.
- Garnish with a lemon peel.
- In a sauce pan over high heat, combine all the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, and when sugar is fully dissolved remove from the heat.
- Let cool for 20 minutes, then strain.
