Chamomile Tea Poached Apples

  2. In a saucepan over a medium high flame, bring the water to a boil.
  3. Once the water has begun boiling, turn off the heat.
  4. Add in the tea bags and let them steep for 3 - 5 minutes.
  5. Remove the bags.

  7. Stir the agave into the tea and bring to a slow simmer over a medium flame.

  9. Add the apples, lower the flame to medium low and gently simmer the apple slices until you can easily poke through them with a fork, about 10 minutes.
  10. Using a slotted spoon, remove apples from liquid.
  11. Set aside.

  13. Raise the heat to medium high and reduce the remaining liquid to 1/3 cup.
  14. Gently spoon over the apples.
  15. Serve warm or at room temperature.
