Berry Compote

  1. Crush 2 cups of the berries in medium saucepan with fork or potato masher.
  2. Add remaining 2 cups whole berries, the sugar and tapioca; mix well.
  3. Stir in water.
  4. Let stand 5 min.
  5. Bring to full boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.
  6. Pour into serving bowl.
  7. Cool slightly; cover with plastic wrap.
  8. Refrigerate 3 hours or until thickened.
  9. Spoon evenly into 6 dessert dishes.
  10. Serve topped with the whipped topping.
