Tomato And Chive Soup

  1. Melt butter in heavy saucepan.
  2. Saute onions, carrots, leeks, garlic and curry powder over medium heat until vegetables are soft, but not brown.
  3. Stir
  4. in flour and tomato paste. Immediately reduce heat; stir in chicken broth, tomato juice, wine, salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Simmer slowly 1 hour.
  6. Strain soup if desired.
