Lavender Sparkling Wine
- 1 1/2 ounces lavender syrup, recipe follows
- 4 ounces dry sparkling wine, such as a cava or Prosecco
- Pour the syrup into a champagne glass.
- Add the sparkling wine.
- Serve.
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender buds
- Place the water, sugar, and lavender in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, and simmer, partially covered, for 15 minutes.
- Strain and cool.
- Cover and refrigerate for up to a week.
- Yield: 2 cups
