Spiced Chick Peas

  1. After soaking, drain the chick peas.
  2. Cook in fresh water for 60 minutes until tender, drain & reserve liquid.
  3. Heat oil in large skillet.
  4. Fry gently the onion together with the spices for 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Add the bell peppers & chick peas.
  6. Dissolve tomato paste into the stock & add to the skillet.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes.
  8. Taste for seasonings.
  9. Add lemon juice & salt & pepper.
  10. Serve over rice or pasta.
