Angel Molasses Cake
- 6 tablespoons shortening
- 12 cup sugar
- 12 cup molasses
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 12 cup sour milk
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 12 teaspoon salt
- Cream shortening, add sugar gradually.
- beat thoroughly.
- Blend in molasses, beaten eggs, and milk.
- Carefully mix in sifted flour, baking soda ginger and salt.
- Bake in a 8-inch square pan, at 350F for 35 to 45 minutes.
- Finish with your favorite frosting!
