Perfect Fried Chicken Recipe
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Shortening for frying
- 1 chicken cut up
- Combine flour, salt and pepper in a plastic bag.
- Add in cut up chicken to flour mix and shake.
- Put shortening about 1/4 inch deep in a large skillet.
- Cook on medium heat.
- Add in chicken pcs.
- When brown on one side, turn over and brown the other side about 15-20 min.
- Reduce heat and cover tightly.
- (If cover isn't tight, add in 1 Tbsp.
- water).
- Cook about 30-40 min or possibly till tender.
- Uncover last 10 min.
