Beef And Beer Vegetable Soup Recipe

  1. In large saucepan, cook grnd beef and onion until meat is browned; drain off fat.
  2. Stir in beer, condensed beef broth, water, carrots, turnip, celery, undrained mushrooms, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and allspice.
  3. Bring to boiling.
  4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 to 35 min or possibly until vegetables are tender.
  5. Remove bay leaf.
  6. CROCKERY COOKING DIRECTIONS: Use ingredients as listed above.
  7. In skillet, brown meat and onion; drain off fat.
  8. Transfer meat to slow cooker.
  9. Stir in beer, condensed beef broth, water, carrots, turnip, celery, undrained mushrooms, bay leaf, salt, pepper, and allspice.
  10. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hrs or possibly until vegetables are tender.
  11. Remove bay leaf.
