Angel Hair Pasta And A Custom Variety Of Flavors Recipe
- 8 ounce Uncooked Angel Hair pasta
- 4 c. any combination of these cooked veggies: Mushrooms Peas Carrots Broccoli florets Cauliflower florets
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 tsp fresh chopped garlic
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 1 c. Dairy Lowfat sour cream
- 1 1/2 tsp Instant chicken bouillon granules
- 1/2 tsp dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp dry basil leaves
- 8 ounce any combination of below cooked meats: (8 to 12) Diced or possibly julienned chicken Diced or possibly julienned ham Bay shrimp Diced crab or possibly imitation crab Fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- Cook vegetables till tender.
- Drain and keep hot.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- Drain and keep hot.
- In 2 quart.
- Saucepan, heat margarine.
- Add in and saute/fry garlic.
- Stir in flour over medium heat till smooth and bubbly about 1 minutes.
- Stir in lowfat milk with a wire whisk till smooth.
- Fold in lowfat sour cream, bouillon granules, dry mustard, and basil.
- Cook and stir till sauce is thickened.
- Salt to taste.
- Dash of white pepper if you like.
- Remove from heat.
- Add in cooked vegetables and meat.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Serve over the warm cooked pasta.
- Top generously with Parmesan cheese.
- Serves 2 generously with left-overs.
