Sausage and Bean Soup

  1. Rinse and drain beans.
  2. In a large pot, brown the sausage over medium heat.
  3. Halfway through, add onions and garlic, and cook until onion is transparent.
  4. When sausage is fully cooked, drain excess fat.
  5. Add beans, tomatoes, broth, kale and basil.
  6. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Serve sprinkled with grated cheese.
