Chicken Gyros with Tzatziki & Olives
- 1 package Pre-made Or Homemade Naan (One Piece Per Gyro)
- 4 dashes Cavender's Greek Seasoning
- 2 whole Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 1/2 cups Feta
- 1/4 cups Chopped Greek Olives
- 1 whole Cucumber
- 6 ounces, fluid Plain Greek Yogurt (make Sure It's Greek Yogurt!)
- 1/2 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
- 1 Tablespoon Chopped Fresh Dill
- 1 pinch Salt And Pepper
- Let me preface this by saying that you can add as much or as little of the ingredients as you like.
- Want it more garlicky?
- Throw some more in!
- More olives?
- Pile em on!
- You could probably even do it with thinly sliced beef instead of chicken!
- Seriously, feel free to adjust it to your tastes.
- To make the tzatziki sauce:
- 1.
- Peel cucumbers.
- 2.
- Slice cucumbers in half lengthwise and scoop out all the seeds.
- 3.
- Dice cucumbers.
- 4.
- Combine diced cucumbers, Greek yogurt, minced garlic, chopped fresh dill, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- It tastes better if you let it sit for an hour, but Ive used it right away, and it was fine.
- To make the gyros:
- 1.
- Cut chicken breasts into chunks.
- 2.
- Season chicken with Greek seasoning.
- 3.
- Cook chicken on the stove.
- 4.
- When chicken is almost done cooking, stick the naan in the oven to warm/toast for a minute or so.
- 5.
- When naan is heated and chicken is done, assemble gyros as follows: place chicken in the middle of the naan, then the tzatziki on it, then the feta, then the chopped Greek olives.
- 6.
- Roll it up tight!
- Tin foil is a big help in rolling it tight and keeping it together while youre eating it.
- Imagine youre at a carnival!
- Or a New York street fair!
- Honestly, Ive been a little obsessed with this recipe lately.
- I cant stop craving it and making it all over again!
- Its just so easy and tasty.
- I hope you enjoy it!
