French SimpleYummy Fries
- 4 potatoes (long ones)
- 1 oil for deep frying
- 1 salt
- 1 liter cold water
- 1 pepper/chilli flakes
- Thoroughly wash the potatoes and peel them.
- After peeling cut of the round edges from the top and bottom of the potatoes to get even cut fries.
- Make sure all the fries are of the same thickness to enable even cooking.
- Place the cut fries in cold water for 2 or 3 minutes and then pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
- Heat oil in a wok and fry the fries in it for 6 to 7 minutes, turning them around in between so they cook on all sides.
- Take out the fries on a kitchen towel to soak excess oil and sprinkle in the salt and pepper/chilli flakes and toss the fries to coat them.
- Enjoy with your favourite sauce or dip.
