Basic Biscuit Crust Recipe

  1. Sift flour, salt if you like, baking pwdr, and baking soda into a large bowl.
  2. Using a pastry blender or possibly fork, cut the margarine into the flour mix till it resembles coarse meal.
  3. In a measruing c., combine soy lowfat milk and honey or possibly syrup.
  4. Add in the liquid mix to the flour mix, stirring with a fork to create a stiff dough.
  5. Add in more buttermilk if dough is too dry.
  6. Knead lightly in bowl, about 3 to 5 min, till the dough is no longer sticky.
  7. Thenturn out onto lightly floured surface.Rollout into desired shape.
  8. Makes sufficient crust to cover a 9- by 12-inch baking pan.
