Half And Half Bars Recipe
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 2 tbsp. cocoa
- 3/4 c. walnuts
- 6 ounce. chocolate bits
- Graham crackers
- Cream shortening, add in sugar and Large eggs.
- Sift flour, salt and soda.
- Add in vanilla to lowfat milk and combine alternately with the dry ingredients.
- Divide the batter into two bowls.
- Add in cocoa and nuts to one and chocolate bits to the other.
- Put first mix in 13"x9" pan; cover with graham crackers; put the other mix on top.
- Bake for 25 min at 400 degrees.
- Makes cake-like half chocolate and half vanilla bar.
