Chocolate Truffle Pie

  1. To prepare crust, combine crumbs, margarine, and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Press mixture firmly in a 9 inch pie pan.
  3. Spread crumb mixture evenly in pie pan.
  4. Chill 1 hour, or until firm.
  5. Or, bake in a 375 oven for 10 minutes or until edges are brown.
  6. Cool on rack before filling.
  7. To prepare filling, combine gelatin and water in a saucepan.
  8. Let stand one minute.
  9. Over low heat, stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  10. Cool.
  11. In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate, sweetened condensed milk, gelatin mixture, and vanilla extract.
  12. Mix well.
  13. Fold in whipped topping.
  14. Pour into crust.
  15. Chill three hours or until set.
