Beer-brined BBQ Chicken
- 2 cans (12 Oz. Size) Beer
- 2 cups Water
- 1/4 cups Salt
- 1/4 cups Sugar
- 2 leaves Bay Leaves
- 12 pieces Chicken, Boneless, Skinless Thighs
- 1/2 bottles (16 Oz. Size) BBQ Sauce
- 1 ounce, fluid Orange Juice (optional)
- Note: This recipe requires several hours of marinating, so plan ahead!
- In a large bowl combine the beer, water, salt, sugar and bay leaves.
- Stir until the sugar and salt are dissolved.
- Add the chicken, cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
- Preheat a BBQ grill on medium-high heat or heat the oven to 425 F.
- Drain the chicken and place on an aluminum foil-lined rimmed pan.
- Pat the tops dry with paper towel.
- Pour the BBQ sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Put it into the oven or on the grill and grill or bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 180 F.
