- When boiling or steaming with a lid open lid to where the lid allows steam to escape away from your face hands and arms
- 2.If you spill hot liquid on clothing quickly remove the clothing for it could scald you the clothing will hold heat and steam in.

- If cooking grit be careful not to allow boiling grits to pop and get on you.

- When using a mandolin use it with the guard if it doesn't come with one don't buy it a mandolin cut is horrible it hurts bad I had one.

- When cutting make sure your knife is sharp a dull knife is a dangerous tool in your kitchen sharpen them regularly.

- When using a knife to slice or chop whith your non-knife hand hold the item you cutting with your fingertips put your nuckles up against the side of the knife as you cut as to keep your fingertips safe.

- When you pour hot liquid into a jar or bowl that is glass make sure glass container is room temperature or warmer don't it will crack or explode.
- 8.
- Don't put a hot glass container on a cold stone counter for it can explode the container.
- 9.
- When you empty a pot or pan add water in it especially if youset back on the burner even if its off .
- 10.
- Give yourself room when you are cooking and using utensils so as not to fall on your feet.
- 11.
- Clean all grease oil or shortening in the kitchen it can cause fire, slip, or turn it will turn to varnish over time almost impossible to clean.
- 12.
- Let pots, pans, bowls, utensil, amd anything else cool before touching always think its hot and use protection then to get burned.
