Chocolate Chip Butterscotch Bars Recipe
- 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 c. butter, firmly packed
- 1 c. dark brown sugar
- 2 Large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. chocolate bits
- 1/2 c. minced nuts
- Frost with Butterscotch Frosting (see next recipe), 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate pcs; preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease 8 x 8 inch pan.
- Sift flour, baking pwdr, and salt together; set aside.
- Heat butter.
- Add in sugar; stir over low heat till sugar is melted.
- Turn into medium bowl; add in Large eggs, one at a time.
- Beat well after each.
- Add in vanilla.
- Stir in flour mix, 1 package chocolate bits, and nuts.
- Mix well.
- Turn into prepared pan.
- Bake 30 min.
- Let cold completely on wire rack.
- Frost with Butterscotch Frosting.
- Garnish with chocolate bits.
- Cut into bars.
- 20 servings.
