Simple, Moist, and Tender Tandoori Chicken
- 3 Chicken breast
- 200 ml Yogurt
- 1 tbsp Curry powder
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 tbsp Ketchup
- Poke the chicken with a fork so that the flavor can seep in easily.
- Add all of the ingredients into a plastic bag and rub it all together from the outside of the bag.
- Add the chicken and massage the flavors into the meat.
- Squeeze out the air from the bag and close it.
- Place in the refrigerator overnight.
- Dump the chicken and the sauce onto a heat resistant dish.
- (Caution: Since the chicken is cold, there's a chance that they won't cook all the way through, so please be sure to heat them up in the microwave first)
- Bake in the toaster oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- (Adjust the time based on the color)
- (Instead of a toaster oven, you can use a frying pan or the fish grill.
- You could also use the oven.)
- Cut into easy to eat slices and arrange on a plate.
- It's done!
- In Step 2, you can add grated ginger or garlic, garam masala powder, tabasco sauce etc.
- The user Yukimeno commented that she bought a bunch of breast meat when it was on sale, made this and stored it in the freezer!
- What a great idea!
- Topped on shredded cabbage and mayonnaise.
- I wrapped it in a tortilla with a tomato.
- I would also recommend this variation.
- Variations from users who have commented on this recipe: Mix the sauce with potatoes and bake with the meat.
- Top with cheese and then bake.
- Cut into small pieces for a bento lunchbox.
