Corned Beef and Cabbage
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 2 12-3 lbs corned beef brisket
- 1 cup apple juice
- 4 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons finely shredded orange peel
- 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
- 6 whole cloves
- 6 pieces cabbage, small wedges
- Place onions in Crockery Pot.
- Trim fat from Brisket.
- If necessary, cut meat to fit into Crockery Pot: place on top of onions.
- In a bowl combine apple juice, sugar, orange peel, mustard, adn cloves; pour over brisket.
- Place cabbage on top of meat.
- Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours (high 5-6 hours).
