Yet Another Mushroom Barley...

  1. Heat butter in a pot.
  2. Add the onions and mushrooms.
  3. Saute 5 minutes.
  4. Remove to a bowl with a slotted spoon.
  5. To pot add flour.
  6. Whisk until smooth.
  7. Cook 2 minutes or until golden.
  8. Whisk in the milk and broth until smooth.
  9. Bring to a boil.
  10. Add barley.
  11. Reduce.
  12. Simmer 50 minutes.
  13. Stir in mushroom mix, sherry, worcestershire, salt and pepper.
  14. Re-heat.
