Barbecued Beef Strips Recipe
- 3 pound beef round steak, cut 3/4" thick
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 c. veg. oil
- 1/2 c. minced onions
- 3/4 c. water
- 1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 12 hamburger buns
- Partially freeze round and cut into strips 1/8 inch thick and about 3 inches long.
- Combine flour, salt and pepper.
- Dredge strips of beef in seasoned flour and brown lightly in veg.
- oil.
- Pour off drippings.
- Add in onion and water, cover tightly and cook slowly 30 min.
- Add in barbecue sauce and sliced mushrooms.
- Cover and continue cooking slowly 30 min, stirring occasionally.
- Serve on hamburger buns.
