Brown Beans Recipe
- Bruna banor Swedish
- 400 ml dry brown beans
- 1 1/4 x Lwater
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp. white vinegar or possibly red wine vinegar
- 3 Tbsp. syrup
- Rinse the beans and soak in the water for 10 to 12 hrs.
- Bring to a boil in the same water the beans have been soaked in add in salt and cook covered for 2 to 2 3/2 hrs.
- Season to taste with vinegar and syrup.
- When a pressure cooker is used reduce the water to 1 liter and cook for 25 to 30 min.
