Banana And Mango Chutney Recipe
- 3/4 c. Cider vinegar
- 3/4 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp Madras curry pwdr
- 1 tsp Grnd black pepper
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Grnd white pepper
- 1/8 tsp Grnd red pepper
- 1/4 tsp Chopped garlic
- 6 med Bananas, sliced, divided
- 1 jar mango slices, divided
- 1/4 c. Raisins
- 1.
- Combine vinegar, sugar, curry pwdr, all three peppers, salt, cinnamon and chopped garlic in a 4-qt non-reactive saucepan.
- Heat to simmer, stirring, and cook for 1 minute.

- Peel 4 bananas, slice and add in to saucepan.
- Add in 1 c. diced mangos.
- Heat fruit mix and simmer, uncovered, 10 min, stirring occasionally till mix thickens.
- 3.
- Slice and add in remaining bananas to chutney.
- Add in remaining diced mangos and raisins.
- Stir to mix well, remove from heat, cover and let stand 30 min.
- 4.
- Serve warm or possibly cool with curries or possibly as a condiment with meat, fish or possibly poultry dishes.
