Brussels Sprouts and Bacon
- 2 (16 ounce) packages Brussels sprouts
- 1 lb bacon
- 1 12 cups gruyere cheese
- 1 12-2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumb, plus
- 14 cup fresh breadcrumb, for top (do not use boxed, dried)
- 12 teaspoon garlic granules or 12 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Preheat oven to 375.
- Butter baking dish.
- Grate the cheese.
- Bring sauce pan of water to a boil and add sprouts.
- partially cook the sprouts, remember they will finish cooking in the baking dish.
- Drain the sprouts.
- Cut up the bacon into small pieces and cook in a skillet until slightly crisp, remove and drain on paper towel.
- Discard the fat.
- Season the sprouts and combine with bacon, grated cheese, cream and bread crumbs.
- Pur into buttered dish, sprinkle bread crumbs on top and bake for 20 minutes or until top is lightly browned.
- Enjoy.
