Apple Cider Ice Recipe

  1. In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine all the ingredients.
  2. Heat till the mix begins to simmer.
  3. Decrease to medium-low heat and let the mix steep and reduce (but don't let boil) to 8 c., about 1 hour.
  4. Chill till cool.
  5. Pour reduced liquid into a shallow pan.
  6. Freeze, stirring every 1/2 hour, till hard, about 3 to 4 hrs.
  7. This recipe yields 2 qts.

apple cider, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, cloves, calvados, sugar syrup, sparkling cider, apple cider vinegar, freshlysqueezed lemon juice
