Christmas Wreath Cookies
- 12 cup butter
- 3 cups miniature marshmallows
- 12 teaspoon almond extract
- 12 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon green food coloring
- 4 cups corn flakes
- cinnamon imperial candy
- Melt butter, add marshmallows.
- When mixture is smooth, add extracts, coloring, and cereal.
- Form into wreath shapes, and decorate with red cinnamon imperial candies while mixture is still warm.
- *Make sure to butter your hands before shaping wreaths, as the mixture is sticky.
- I've found it easier to use a large scoop or large cooking spoon to drop the mixture onto waxed paper, and then use my index finger to make a hole in the middle while pressing the rest of the mixture into a wreath shape.
- Let sit until you can lift the whole cookie without it falling apart -- or enjoy them warm and sticky and claim that they just didn't "turn out" ;) The yield depends entirely on how big you make your cookies.
