Lahsuni Pomfret

  1. Wash and clean the fish.
  2. Chop off the tail end.
  3. Make 3-4 incisions on each.
  4. Keep aside.
  5. Prepare a paste of the first five ingredients.
  6. Apply the paste on both sides of the fish.
  7. Keep aside to marinate for 30 minutes.
  8. Heat oil in a pan.
  9. Carefully, lower the fish into the hot oil and shallow fry on each side until browned.
  10. Once cooked, remove from flame, drain off excess oil on clean paper kitchen napkins and serve the fish on a big bamboo leaf in a plate.
  11. Garnish with onion rings, lemon wedges and green chillies.
  12. Serve at once!
