Spaghetti Sauce
- 10 cups onions, diced
- 2 tablespoons virgin olive oil
- 4 lbs beef
- 10 lbs pork
- 1 teaspoon garlic, instant minced
- 128 ounces tomatoes, diced
- 210 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons dry basil
- 1 teaspoon dry oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- Saute sliced onions in olive oil; add minced garlic to onions and soften lightly.
- Remove onions when browned.
- Run stewed and diced tomatoes through blender for desired consistency.
- Add tomato sauce, sugar, parsley, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to a heavy bottom pot and bring to a strong simmer.
- Lower temperature to have a 12 bubble simmer (10 to 14 bubbles) uncovered for 45 minutes.
