Sausage And Cheese Chowder Recipe
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 2 c. water
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 6 sausages (breakfast or possibly other)
- 1 c. minced carrots
- 1 c. minced celery
- 1/3 c. minced onion
- 12 ounce. canned corn with red and green peppers
- 10 ounce. sharp Cheddar, shredded
- 1 can evaporated lowfat milk
- Snipped parsley
- Heat butter, carrots, celery and onion in large saucepan till bubbly.
- Reduce heat and cover.
- Simmer, stirring occasionally, 20 min.
- Meanwhile, fry sausages.
- Drain.
- Slice into bite size pcs.
- Stir flour into vegetable mix.
- Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till mix is bubbly.
- Stir in water, salt, celery salt, paprika, pepper and corn.
- Heat to boiling.
