Noir Sidecar
- 1 lemon wedge
- Superfine sugar
- Ice
- 1 1/2 ounces Cognac
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau or other triple sec
- 1/2 ounce Benedictine (brandy-based herbal liqueur)
- 1/2 ounce Poire William or other pear brandy
- 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1 lemon twist
- Moisten half of the outer rim of a martini glass with the lemon wedge and coat lightly with superfine sugar.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Add the Cognac, Cointreau, Benedictine, Poire William and lemon juice and shake well.
- Strain into the prepared martini glass and garnish with the lemon twist.
