Vegetable Chutney
- 1 bunch Cilantro
- 1/2 Tomato
- 1 Green Chili
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/4 tsp Salt (or more as needed)
- Wash the cilantro.
- Excluding the harder stems, roughly chop the rest into small pieces.
- Cut the tomato into chunks.
- Since we will be using a blender later, it's okay if it's just roughly done.
- Combine the Step 1 & 2 ingredients into a pot.
- Cover with a lid and cook until the tomatoes have cooked.
- If you use high heat, it won't even take 10 minutes.
- You could also use red chili peppers in place of green chili pepper.
- Cook it in a little bit of oil to enhance their flavor.
- Add the green chili, garlic, cumin seeds, and salt to the cilantro and tomatoes, and then place in the blender to blend.
- Absolutely use fresh garlic!
- The scent will be different.
- It will also taste good if you add a little bit of tamarind paste at this point!
- Done!
