Chicken With Vegetable Sauce Recipe
- 1/2 head lettuce, sliced thin
- 2 lg. onions, minced
- 1 fryer, cut into pcs
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- Dash of pepper
- 2 carrots, shredded
- 1/4 c. water
- In large electric skillet, layer lettuce, half the onion, chicken, seasonings, remaining onion and carrots.
- Add in water.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 35 to 45 min or possibly till chicken is fork tender.
- Makes 4 servings.
- 220 calories per serving.
