Japanese Turnip and Bacon Soup

  1. Peel the Japanese turnips, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Slice the green leaves into small rounds (your preferred amount).
  3. Chop the bacon into 2 cm strips.
  4. Pour the water into a pot and turn on the heat.
  5. Add Japanese turnip, bacon, and consomme.
  6. Simmer until the turnips become soft.
  7. Add the greens of the turnips and butter, and simmer for another 3 ~ 4 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve in a bowl, and it's done.
