Japanese Turnip and Bacon Soup
- 4 small Japanese turnips
- 4 slice Bacon
- 2 Consomme soup stock cubes
- 800 ml Water
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 dash Black pepper
- 1 tsp Butter
- 1 Japanese turnip greens
- Peel the Japanese turnips, and cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Slice the green leaves into small rounds (your preferred amount).
- Chop the bacon into 2 cm strips.
- Pour the water into a pot and turn on the heat.
- Add Japanese turnip, bacon, and consomme.
- Simmer until the turnips become soft.
- Add the greens of the turnips and butter, and simmer for another 3 ~ 4 minutes.
- Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve in a bowl, and it's done.
