Oriental Sweet and Sour Meatballs

  1. Chop onion and soften gently in margarine/butter in frying pan or microwave and let cool slightly.
  2. Mix together meat, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce.
  3. egg and onions.
  4. Make in balls, size to suit your needs.
  5. When I brown these prior to cooking in sauce, I usually deep fry as it take no time at all.
  6. Put into ovenproof dish.
  7. To make sauce.
  8. Mix all ingredients together!
  9. Simple as that.
  10. Pour over meatballs.
  11. Chop peppers into bite size pieces and add.
  12. Cover with lid and cook in the oven for 45 minutes at 180 degrees C.
  13. When cooked drain off sauce and thicken with cornflour, ready for serving.
  14. I serve this with rice, or noodles and a green salad.
